We take requests!
Being a custom design jeweler as well as having inventory from other designers, we often get requests to create a piece of jewelry along the same theme that we have done before, but with some sort of personalization. We love this type of request, and it is part of what keeps all of us inspired to come to work each day. I got a different kind of request yesterday, and am happy to oblige. A gentleman inquired about a beautiful Tanzanite, Diamond and Platinum pendant in our window. Seems his wife is at home with a broken foot, so he asked if I could post a couple of pics online.
Here are the descriptions of the two pieces that follow:
1) 2.18 ct pear shape Tanzanite set in Platinum with a .15ct. marquise Diamond. Both of these gemstones are exceptional, and worthy of their Platinum setting.
2) Approximately 2.0ct total weight trillion cut Tanzanite earrings set in white gold, surrounded by round diamonds. Whereas the pendant is represented accurately is the photo, the Tanzanites in the earrings are not quite as vibrant blue in person. Still very attractive.
I also have a loose oval Tanzanite which weighs over 6ct. and is between the earrings and the pendant in color. I have almost all of my color gemstones recut after I obtain them, as they are often cut for weight retention over beauty. The end product is well worth the added effort.
As an aside, though all three of the pics I have posted here happen to be Tanzanite, we are by no means limited in the variety of gemstones that we work with. It just happened that these were the first three photos.
If you are the woman with the broken foot, I hope you are out and about soon. Thank you for allowing everyone to share in viewing these two pieces.
